"To raise new questions, new possibilities, to regard old problems from a new angle requires creative imagination and marks real advances in science."

- Albert Einstein

The Common Root Of All Illnesses and Suffering

"The mere formulation of a problem is far more often essential than its solution."

- Albert Einstein

Is there a common root of all illnesses?

Wishful thinking, right?  If there was, we could eliminate ALL ills, by eliminating the cause.  Common sense says, "No, there is not!" and, it would appear stupid to question it, because common sense is not to be questioned.  But, what if common sense is ITSELF this root?

Things of the world, such as the earth, the air and the oceans are not really separate things, but they are separate words.  Since we perceive through words, we see a world made of separate entities.  We call this perception and the thinking that arises from it "dualistic" (meaning "two or more" things).  Dualistic thinking is seen as "common sense" and goes unquestioned across all human cultures.  Are there consequences?

"Physical concepts are free creations of the human mind, and are not, however it may seem, uniquely determined by the external world."

― Albert Einstein

"Dualistic thinking is a sickness."

- Lao Tzu, Taoist sage

Day-to-day word-mediated dualistic perception conflicts with our innate, pre-verbal sensory awareness that signals an uninterrupted continuity of the world.  The ensuing chronic existential dissonance, through the hormones releases and emotions it causes, is the root of ALL illnesses of mind, body and spirit.

The Discord between Two Types of Consciousness that exist in all of us creates symptoms that we believe to be "different" Illnesses of our Minds, Bodies, Families and the World

Dualistic Consciousness

(conscious perception through words)

- sees the world as consisting of pairs of opposite aspects of reality that function separately or with little or no interchange, often competing for existence.

This programed folkloric perception is unscientific, yet forms the foundational paradigm of almost all Western sciences.

Psychology, psychiatry, medicine, and science have emerged from this dualistic consciousness.. They offer dualistic solutions to problems caused by a dualistic perception.

Therapy outcomes lack integration and, as such, are not sustainable.

Non-Dualistic Consciousness

(inborn, pre-verbal perception)

- is the awareness that all "things" are expressions of One ubiquitous, continuous, and formless Conscious Essence expressing itself in fleeting forms of existence.

This inborn awareness, cultivated by esoteric sciences, is verified by Quantum Physics, which studies the makeup of the material world.

This perception is found in the traditions of Native American, Australian Aboriginal, Pacific Islander, and Eastern metaphysical systems such as, Taoism, Vedanta, Buddhism, and Sufism.

Non-dualistic wisdom therapy heals all the aspects of existence, being transformative and sustainable.

"Dualistic Dissonance Disorder™"

- an all-abiding, ever-pervasive state of inner conflict generated between the polarities of verbal, tutored, dualistic awareness and our inherent sensory awareness, which is non-dualistic.  This ubiquitous existential crisis that passes as "life-as-usual" is the root of all individual illnesses of the mind, body and spirit.

It is a term that we coined to describe the fact that the difference between our dualistic, verbal awareness and the non-dualistic sensory perception has effects that are not only similar to an illnesses, but is, in effect, the totality of all forms of expression we refer to as "illnesses".  Esotherapy® explains that our "diseases" are mere symptoms of the ever-abiding dissonance tension between our socialized dualistic awareness and the nonduality of the world signaled by our biological senses.  It was not until 2012 in Queensland, AUSTRALIA, when I understood that conventional healing sciences that rely on dualistic understandings for their own therapeutic

"Problems cannot be solved from the same level of consciousness

that created them."

- Albert Einstein

What is "Dualistic Dissonance Disorder™"?

reasoning cannot perceive the role of dualism in creating the abiding existential stress, feelings of disconnection and the host of illnesses.  Hence, they cannot heal these conditions.  The outcome is that the chronic, permanent dualistic dissonance continuously depletes the harmonizing energy known in Eastern philosophy as "ch'i", or life-energy.  Healing, therefore, can only come from outside of the dualistic consciousness that creates the ailments of humankind.

What is Dualistic Dissociative Identity Disorder™ (DDID)?

Dualistic consciousness also creates a "Dualistic Dissociative Identity Disorder™ by fragmenting our sense of "self" as well as our role in relationship to the world.  We take for granted that we know who we are... yet, most of us have never met ourselves.  All day long, we use expressions such as “I am writing”,  “I am sitting”, or “I am walking”.  "I am" encapsulate the entire essence of our being.   Yet, when we are walking, we are often thinking of other things.  When we are sitting, we may plan future events or think of the past.  And, when we are finally there, where we were thinking of being, we get transported somewhere else by our thoughts and emotions.  Through this idle ego consciousness, we separate from the “I Am” unity of spirit within us.  We divorce "I Am", which is, incidentally, the term the Creator wanted to be known by.

Medical biomarkers research has proven that feelings of dualistic disconnection are linked to tissue inflammation that is the foundation of all diseases.  Yet, so far, no one has linked it to dualistic consciousness.  The abiding tension creates chronic stress and feelings of disconnection that underlie ALL mental, physical, spiritual, familial and social illnesses.  (see article 1, article 2, article 3, article 4)
